Proposed Open Space and Recreation Plan, 2015 Update
In accordance with the requirements of the State, we have prepared an update of the Open
Space and Recreation Plan.
The process to update this document started with the Comprehensive Plan project. -As you
know, that process involved many well attended public meetings, several on line
opportunities for input, and numerous work sessions. This represented significant
opportunity for public input to the process and the evolution of this document. We have
also incorporated new and updated information related to our open space and recreational
elements of the Town. We have addressed all the requirements of the State, Americans
with Disabilities Act requirements, and the input of both Recreation Department and the
Conservation Commission. The update has also followed a very aggressive timeline in
order to finalize a draft for State consideration.
Therefore, I would respectfully request that the Watertown Open Space and Recreation
Plan Update 2015, be placed on the Honorable Town Council agenda for an informational
presentation.
