PRESENT: WILLIAM F. KOCH MAYOR
JOAN S. LAPORTE VICE MAYOR

LINDLEY S. BETTISON COMMISSIONER
EVANS M. CLEMENTS COMMISSIONER
Also attending: Manager, William E. Gwynn and Deputy Town Clerk Barbara
Gwynn.
The meeting was called to order at 9 A.M. by Mayor Koch. He explained
the purpose for calling this meeting is to select a Chief of Police for
the Town of Gulf Stream.
Police Commissioner Bettison explained that the Commission had received
an in depth background report on Mr. Greer which is favorable for Mr.
Greer's candidacy. He stated his desire to follow th recommendation
of the screening committee that voted three to two in favor of Mr. Greer
and moved that Mr. Greer be appointed the new Chief of Police for the
Town of Gulf Stream. Commissioner Clements seconded the motion, motion
passed unanimously. Commissioner Bettison stated that Mr. Greer will
be informed immediately of his appointment and to report for work as
soon as possible.
