Pnblic Orals ~ The llirector of Recreation and Community Service Department, Perry Brents stop by to introduce himself to [he commissioner. Mr. Brents talked to the commissioner about becoming more involved with city and city wide events. He told the commissioners to come up with some ideas for n summer concert series in the park. IX. Scheduled Matters a. Teen RoardF,xchanee(overalD Diana asked the commissioners to give a brief description of there experience a[ the teen board exchange. The commissioners all talked about how much fun they had at the exchange, they also talked about how they had a chance to meet other commissioners and teen coalition groups from difterent cities. It was a great way to get ideas of what other commission do, and to exchange ideas with one another. it was an overall great experience and they had good food. b. Election of Chairand Vice Chair The elections were held for the chair and the vice chair for the commission board. Each commissioner was given a chance to nominate someone for the positions. After all votes were [allied, Commissioner M. Quinonez won for chair person and Commissioner Lopez won for vice-chair person. Both Commissioner M. Quinonez and Commissioner Lopez said that they were ready to take on the responsibilities of Chair and Vice-chair. X. Commission Orals: ~ None Xl. Adjournment- The meeting was adjourned until the next scheduled meeting to be held on June 18, 2008. Meeting adjourned al 6:30 p.m.
