V. Agenda Posting ~ The agenda was duly posted for the April 14, 2008 meeting.
VI. Approval of Minutes ~ Commissioner B. Quinonez, seconded by
Corrunissioner Mata
VII. Correspondence ~ The regular scheduled meeting was changed from May 21, 2008
to May 14, 2008 because of an event that will not allowed Commissioner Lopez,
Commissioner Mata and Commissioner M. Quinonez to attend the meeting. The
change was approved the City Clerk.

IX. Scheduled Matters
a. Goals & Objectives
Diana asked the Commissioners if they had come up with goals for 2008.
Commissioner B. Quinonez talked about raising awareness about current events that
takes place around the world. Commissioner B. Quinonez and Commissioner M.
Quinonez gave a brief example of something that JAS does at Lynwood High School.
(Mini Convention) The commissioners talked about expanding the Mini Convention,
they would like for the commissioner to be able to host Mini Conventions to raise
awareness in the community. Diana told the commissioners she liked the idea about
the Mini Convention, and asked the commissioners to bring back more information
about Mini Convention. Diana also told the commissioners that she would like to
focus more on the goals and objective for this year. Commissioner Mata talked about
trying to get the word out about the youth commission. He feels that there needs to be
more advertisement so the community could get an idea about what the youth
commission is all about.
b. Extra Meetint=s
The commissioners wanted to know if they could have more meetings.
Commissioner Mata feels that the one monthly meeting is not enough.
Commissioner M. Quinonez feels that having a meeting at lease twice a month
they could get more things accomplished. The City Clerk explained to the
commissioners that they are allowed to have more meeting, but the
