A WARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE WEST CARTERET/HILL DISTRICT
SANITARY SEWER PROJECTS

WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has received bids on February 28, 2005and March
28, 2005 for the follc,wing projects; and
WHEREAS, the foJ:owing companies have submitted the lowest responsible bids for the
respective contracts ,1S evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Borough's Consulting Engineer for the Project:
I. Pipe and Manhok Rcpair/Replacement Project (Proposal A)
_13&W Construction Co., LLC
$346,540.00
2. Pipe and Manhol, Rehabilitation Project (Proposal B)
Oswald Enterprises, Inc,
$177,117.50
3. Pipe Lining Proj ect (Proposal C)
Allstate Po'ver Vac, Inc.
$72,185.00
; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Consulting Engineer, T & M Associates has reviewed the
above bid proposals and has recommended the award of a contract to respective bidders
as identified above. .
WHEREAS, the Chief Finàncial officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
I. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract for the respective work with the above identified contractors for the
West Carteret/Hill District Sanitary Sewer Project for the above referenced
amounts in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid
on same, and subject to the conditions set forth in T & M Associates'
Recomrr.endation of Award, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and T & M Associates for distribution to the
respective contractors.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on April I, 2005.
