A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF AN EASEMENT TO
NORTHERN VIRGINIA ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE FOR
ELECTRIC SERVICE ON TOWN PROPERTY TO THE NORTH
HANGAR PROJECT SITE
WHEREAS, Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC) has requested an
easement on Town property for an underground electric service line to the Capital
Improvements Program (CIP)Airport North Hangar project site; and
WHEREAS, Town staff recommends that the easement be granted to NOVEC for the
same; and
WHEREAS, the easement, if granted to NOVEC by the Town, will not be a detriment
to Town owned property, and will provide electrical power service to the new hangar being
constructed on the pad site.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
the Mayor is authorized to execute the NOVEC easement on a form approved by the Town
Attorney for underground electric service on Town property to serve the North Hangar Project
Site.
