AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, RELATING TO THE
MAINTENANCE OF AND THE CLEARING OF SNOW AND DEBRIS FROM
SIDEWALKS; AND PROVIDING AN El-iFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of McCall finds that maintenance of sidewalks and paths to be
important to the safety and general welfare of the citizens of McCall and the general public;
and
WHEREAS, the Idaho Code, Sections 50-316 and 50-317, gives the City the power
to regulate such sidewalks and paths and allows for the responsibility for the maintenance of
such sidewalks and paths to be passed on to the adjoining landowners,
DE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THR CITY OF
McCALL, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 _ The McCall City Code, Title 8, is amended in pertinent part as shown below, in
that specific format required by Idaho Code, that is, with new language
underlined, and the matter to be deleted struck through:
5-5-010 SNOW, ICE 4.1 4.---1=d 14---R lOVAL.—MAINTENANCE OF
SIDEWALKS:
A. As used in this section, these words shall be defined as follows:
1. "sidewalk" means a path for pedestrians, usually paved, along liie side of
a street, including also ravel and dill. wanting Baths commonly used by
the public along the side of a street,
2. "remove" means -to eliminate -when- feasible, and when not, t
sand, or ice-trearment compounds which abate the slippery_ condition and
eliminate as it becombs feasible.
