AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE SPEED LIMIT TO 25 MPH IN THE
INCORPORATED LIMITS OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, ALONG IDAHO
STATE HIGHWAY 55 FROM MISSION STREET TO WARREN WAGON ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City of McCall ("McCall"), is an incorporated
city of the State of Idaho and has the authority, pursuant to
Title 49, Section 207, Idaho Code, and recognized by the Idaho
Transportation Department, to regulate the speeds of vehicles
traveling along roads within McCall's city limits; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, Council and Police Chief of McCall deem
it necessary to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of
the City of McCall to limit the speed of vehicles traveling on
Idaho Highway 55 from Mission Street to Warren Wagon Road, within
the corporate limits of McCall;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF McCALL, Valley County, Idaho as follows:
Section 1: The speed limit along Idaho Highway 55 from
Mission Street to Warren Wagon Road, within the incorporated city
limits of the City of McCall, as those city limits may be
increased or decreased in the future, shall be no greater than 25
mph and that such speed limit be so posted.
Section 2: Any person exceeding the 25 mile per hour
speed limit shall be guilty of an infraction as defined in Title
49 Section 654, Idaho Code and shall be subject to the
punishments set forth therein as such section may be amended from
time to time.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall be published once in the
official newspaper of McCall, and shall become effective upon its
passage, approval, and publication.
