CITY COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, MARCH 15, 2021
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Carrie Tergin called the March 15, 2021 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at
5:47 P.M. to review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Councilmembers were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Hensley, Hussey, Kemna, Lester, Schreiber,
Vogt, and Ward
Absent: Wiseman
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilmember Schreiber will lead the prayer.
Miscellaneous
- Kristi Campbell, Director of Cole County Health Department is unable to
attend tonight’s meeting. She has provided Mayor Tergin with information to
update the City Council.
- Pastor Mark Kiekhaefer will provide a brief transformational housing update.
- City Staff will be in attendance to receive recognition for assisting with City
Council Chamber renovations.
Public Hearing
- Sonny Sanders, Director of Planning and Protective Serves presented bill
2020-063. Bills pending, 2020-064, 2020-65, and 2020-066 are companion
bills to 2020-063.
Appointments
- Gail Strope, Human Resources Director will present the recommended
appointments.
Consent Agenda Items
- Item f will be removed from the consent agenda per the request of the
applicant.

- City Staff presented their introduced bills.
