MOTION 2022-064
I move pursuant to § 2.2-3711(A)(7) and § 2.2-3711(A)(8) of the Code of Virginia that
the Leesburg Town Council convene in a closed meeting for the purpose of
consultation with legal counsel and briefings by staff members related to multiple
pending cases including the following: Town of Leesburg et al v. Loudoun County et
al, Loudoun County Circuit Court No. 19-1768 and Graydon Manor, LLC. v. The
Town of Leesburg, VA, Loudoun County Circuit Court Case No. CL21-4323 where
such consultation in open session would adversely affect the negotiating or litigating
posture of the Town; and consultation with legal counsel regarding specific legal
matters requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel, and pertaining to a
potential annexation and/or boundary line agreement with respect to the JLMA.
