AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, The Indiana Department of Transportation has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to assist with operating and capital expenses for Rose View Transit for 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Department of Transportation to assist with operating and capital expenses for Rose View Transit
for 2002.
The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Seven Hundred Ninety-eight Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-five Dollars ($798,785.00).
Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated as follows:
a) $740,285.00 to assist with operating expenses for Rose View Transit for 2002; and
b) $ 58,500.00 to assist with capital improvements for Rose View Transit in 2002.
Passed and adopted this 6th day of August, 2001, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
