ANORDINANCERELATING TO WATER SERVICE! REPEALING
SECTION.8=1-43 OF THE .VILLAGE CODE OF McCALL, IDAHO;.
AMENDING_- CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE VIII OF THE VILLAGE CODE
OF McCALL, IDAHO, BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION
8-1-43 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF McCALL, IDAHO, TO
ESTABLISH WATER RATES AND CHARGES, TO CLASSIFY WATER
USERS, AND TO.DEFINE ,WATER OVERRUN; AMENDING CHAPTER
1.OF TITLE VIII OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF McCALL, IDAHO,
BY THE ADDITION OF ANEW SECTION 8-1-43A, TO PROVIDE
THAT A PORTION OF EACH WATER USER SERVICE .CHARGE
SHALL BE PAID INTO A.WATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND;
AMENDING CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE VIII OF THE VILLAGE CODE
OF McCALL, IDAHO, TOCREATEA WATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
FUND, DESCRIBING THE SOURCE OF PAYMENTS. THERETO,
DEFINING PURPOSES FOR WHICH SUCH FUND MAY BE. EXPENDED,
AND PROVIDING FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND INVESTMENT OF
SUCH FUND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:
.Section i. That Section 8-1-43.of the Village Code of
McCall, Idaho., be and the same is hereby repealed,
Section 2. That Chapter 1 of Title VIII of the Village
Code of McCall,, Idaho, be, and the same is .hereby amended by
the addition thereto of a new Section,., to be known and desig-
nated as Section 8-1-43 of the Village Code of McCall, Idaho,
and to read as follows:
8=1-43: SCHEDULE OF CHARGES:. All users of water in said.
City are hereby classified as :follows and shall be charged at
the rates hereinafter set forth, to -wit:
Class. A. Single family dwellings, $6.00 per month,
except -for the months .of June, July and August of each year
when such water .charge shall be the sum of $7 00 per month.
A .demand for a water supply of one inch (1") diameter pipe
or larger will be classified as: a. commercial user and charged
as .hereinafter - set forth for commercial users.
Class B. Multiple. family facility will be charged on
onebilling only, at the rate of $6.00 per month per .family,
except for the months' .of June, . July and August of each year
when such water charge shall be $7.00 per month..
Class C. Multiple, family facility, separate billings
to each tenant at the rate of $6.00'per month except for the
months of Jung , July:;, and August of .each year -when such water
charges .;shall :be. $ 7..: 0.0 per., month-.,
Class D. Apartments, that is toi say, .any room or group
of rooms that includes usual living and .cooking facilities
shallbe charged to the record owner at the rate of $6...00
per month per apartment;. each unit ofa condominium shall be
classified as an apartment.
Class E. Non meteredcommercial users, at the rate of
$8.00 per month.
Class F. Metered cormercial'users, at the rate_ of $8.00,
per month plus overrun as hereinafter set forth.
Class G. Commercial -buildings housing apartments, such
apartments shall be charged as s'et.forth in.Class D above and
,each commercial user .therein shall be'charged at the rates
set forth in Class E arid F above, depending upon whether such
users are metered or non metered.
In the event that -any of:such commercial users share
water facilities with another. commercial user, one
monthly charge.shall be imposed for each such water user
against the record owner of.such premises.
'H.. All other commercial buildings shall.be charged
at the rate of.$8.00 per month per commercial user plus
overrun as hereinafter. defined. .
In the event that plumbing in such commercial building
does not permit measurement of each overrun, the owner of
record of such premises shall be charged for the total monthly
overrun of such building.
Class I. Churches and Fraternal organizations $6.00
per month plus overrun.
OVERRUN.' Overrun is defined. as any and all water:over
and above three. thousand (3,000) gallons per month. ,Charges
foroverrun are as. follows:
•(A) The next five thousand (5,000) gallons at ninety
cents .(90) per thousand (1,000) gallons.
(B) The next ten thousand (10,000) gallons at sixty
cents (60) per thousand (1,000) gallons.
(C) The next ten thousand (10,000) gallons at forty-
five cents (45) per thousand (1,000) gallons:
(D) At the rate of thirty cents (30) for each
thousand (1,00.0) gallons over and.above twenty eight
thousand (28,000) gallons.

Section 3.. That Chapter 1 of Title VIII of the Village
Code of McCall,. Idaho, •be, and the same is hereby amended.by
the'addition thereto of a• new Section;. to. be known and desig-
nated as Section 8=1-43A of the Village Code of McCall, Idaho,
and to read as follows:
8-1-43A: •PAYMENTS.TO WATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND:
The sum of $1.25 per month of the monthly charge to each
water user shall be .transferred by the City •Clerk into the
Water Capital Improvement Fund established and .created by
Section,8-1-43B of the Village Code of McCall, Idaho;
Section 4. 'That Chapter 1.of.Title VIII•of_ the Village
Code of McCall, Idaho, be, arid the. same_ is 'hereby amended by.
the addition thereto of a new.Section, to be _known and desig-
nated as Section 8-1-43B of the Village Code of McCall, Idaho,
and to read as follows:
8-1-43B: WATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND -CREATION:. There
is hereby established and created a "Water Capital Improvement
Fund" for the receipt, deposit and accounting of all moneys-'
paid:therein f_rom'water user charges as provided by Section
8-1-43A.of the Village Code of McCall, Idaho, with which to
erect; construct, enlarqe, extend and maintain water lines.or
water pumping or treatment facilities or'structures for the .
City: The moneys depositedin said Fund shall be kept separate
and._apart from all.other- moneys of_ said.City and shall be
held in trust,'.` dedicated to the, specific purpose for which the
Water.Capita.l.-Improvement Fund is. hereby created and established.
The City Treasurer may, as..directed and empowered.by resolution
adopted and.approved by the City Council, invest the moneys .
of the Fund in the,securities authorized by law, but no portion
of the' Fund may be transferred to the credit of any other
general or special.;Fund.or used for any other public purpose.
