Date of Adoption May 19 2005
DESIGNATING VARIOUS BUS STOPS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of
Middlesex, State of New Jersey that pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-8(e) the following
described locations will be designated as bus stops:
County Roadways
Added Bus Stops:
1. Along Roosevelt Avenue, northbound on the easterly side at:
a. Carteret A venue- (far side)
Beginning at the northerly curb line of Carteret Avenue and existing 100'
southerly therefrom.
2. Along Roosevelt Avenue, southbound on the westerly side at:
a. Carteret A venue- (far side)
Beginning at the southerly curb line of Carteret Avenue and existing 100'
southerly therefrom.
3. Along Washington Avenue, eastbound on the southerly side at:
a. Pershing A venue- ( far side)
Beginning at the easterly curb line of Pershing Avenue and existing 100'
easterly therefrom.
b. High Street-(near side)
Beginning at the westerly curb line of High Street and existing 105' westerly
therefrom.
c. Locust Street- (far side)
Beginning at the easterly curb line of Locust Street and existing 100' easterly
therefrom.
4. Along Washington Avenue, westbound on the northerly side at:
a. Roosevelt A venue- (far side)
Beginning at the westerly curb line of Roosevelt Avenue and existing 120'
westerly therefrom.
b. Cooke Avenue- (far side)
Beginning at the westerly curb line of Cooke Avenue and existing 100'
westerly therefrom.

Beginning at the southerly curb line of Washington Avenue and existing 105'
southerly therefrom.

a. Washington Avenue- (near side)
Beginning at the northerly curb line of Washington Avenue and existing 105'
northerly therefrom.
b. Carteret Avenue- (near side)
Beginning at the northerly curb line of Carteret Avenue and existing 105'
northerly therefrom.
7. Along Carteret Avenue, eastbound on the southerly side at:
a. Roosevelt A venue- (near side)
Beginning at the westerly curb line of Roosevelt Avenue and existing 105'
westerly therefrom.
8. Along Carteret Avenue, westbound on the northerly side at:
a. Roosevelt A venue- ( far side)
Beginning at the westerly curb line of Roosevelt Avenue and existing 100'
westerly therefrom.
b. Pershing Avenue- (near side)
Beginning at the easterly curb line of Pershing Avenue and existing 105'
easterly therefrom.
That the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret will enforce the needed traffic
regulations governing the aforementioned bus stop locations and provide the necessary
police security to ensure the safety of the traveling public.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall take effect upon approval of
the Commissioner of Transportation as provided by law.
Adopted this 19th day of May, 2005
and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 20,2005.
