RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MCIA CAPITAL
EQUIPMENT LEASE PURCHASE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Middlesex County Improvement Authority (MCIA) is authorized to
issue bonds pursuant to the provisions of the County Improvement Authorities Law,
Chapter 183 of the Laws of New Jersey of 1960, as amended and supplemented (NJ.S.A.
40:37A-44 et seq.) (the "County Improvement Authorities Law"), and other applicable
provisions of law; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret desires to participate in the MCIA Capital
Equipment Lease Purchase Program in order to finance the acquisition of equipment in
accordance with its annual budget and capital program; and
WHEREAS, in order to participate in the 2005 Capital Equipment Lease Purchase
Program, the Borough of Carteret must submit a preliminary list to the MCIA for
consideration; and
WHEREAS, upon acceptance of the 2005 equipment list by the MCIA, an Ordinance
approving and authorizing the entering into, execution and delivery of a lease and
agreement with the MCIA will be submitted to Council for consideration; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has identified the following items to fund in 2005:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Borough ofCarteret,
Middlesex County, New Jersey that the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby
authorized to submit the items above to the Middlesex County Improvement Authority
for consideration and inclusion in the 2005 Capital Equipment Lease Purchase Program.
