ORDINANCE NO: 544
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE AMENDMENT OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE. KANSAS.
WHEREAS, A public hearing was convened on the matter of amendment of the
Comprehensive Plan of the City of Bel Aire on June 3,2014 by the City Council and on
July 10, 2014 by the Planning Commission for the City of Bel Aire, Kansas in
conformance with the requirements set forth in K.S.A. l2-747(b);
WHEREAS, Notice of the public hearing was published at least once in the official city
newspaper, appearing on June 12,2014;
WHEREAS, Following the public hearing the Planning Commission adopted a
Resolution by a majority vote of all members approving the amendment of the
Comprehensive Plan, such Resolution identifying specifically any written presentations,
maps, plats, charts or other materials made a part of such plan;
WHEREAS, A certified copy of the plan has been submitted to the Governing Body for
its review, including any written presentations, maps, plats, charts or other materials
made a part of such plan;
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission for the City of Bel Aire, Kansas has submitted a
written summary of the public hearing.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF
THE CITY OF BEL AIRE. KANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Governing Body hereby adopts the recommendation of the Bel Aire
Planning Commission and approves the amendment of the Comprehensive Plan.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
publication in the Ark Valley News, an official city newspaper.
Passed by the City Council this 15m day of July, 2014.
Approved by the Mayor this 15th day of July, 2014.
