Deputy Town Clerk. SPECIAL COMMISSION MEETING September 15, 1983 Present: William F. Koch Mayor Brian Pfeifler Commissioner Alan I. Armour Commissioner Robert J. Dixson Commissioner Absent: Joel Hunter Vice Mayor Also Present: Town Manager William Gwynn, Town Clark Barbara Gwynn, Police Chief James Greer, Secretary Cynthia Harms. The meeting was called to order at 5:01 P.M., and Roll Call was taken. Mayor Koch stated that this was a Special Meeting which had been duly advertised in accordance with Florida Law, for the approval of two items: 1. Setting the millage. 2. Adoption of the budget. Town Manager Gwynn stated that everyone has received a copy of the proposed Budget, and all changes have been incorporated in it. They are now ready to adopt said Budget. He presented Resolution 83 -6: A RESOLUTION OF THE TOV7N CONEISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF A BUDGET FOR THE TOWN'S FISCAL YEAR CON1,1ENCING OCTOBER 1, 1983 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1984, AND APPROPRIATING THE NET REVENUE OF THE LATER FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE FISCAL YEAR CaTlIENCING OCTOBER 1, 1983 AND ENDING ON SEPT121BER 30, 1984. Motion was made and seconded to adopt Resolution 83 -6. Notion passed. Town Manager Gwynn presented Resolution 83 -7: A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN CO MQISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING 4.7174 MILL TAX LEVY AGAINST THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF ALL TAXABLE REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID TOWN OF GULF STREAM FOR THE YEAR 1983. Notion was made and seconded to adopt Resolution 83 -7. Motion passed. There being no further business to come before the Conmission, the meeting was adjourned at 5:06 P.M. After maturity, this note shall bear interest at the highest rate permitted by law, whether now or hereafter in effect. In no event shall any Maker, indorser or guarantor of this note be obligated to pay any interest in excess of the maximum amount permitted by law, whether now or hereafter in effect, and in the event any interest is received or charged by Bank in excess of that amount, Maker shall be entitled to an immediate refund thereof. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA that: (1) The BUDGET for the Town of Gulf Stream, for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 1983 and ending on September 30, 1984, a detailed copy which is attached hereto and reflects, in part, total estimated General Fund and Water Fund expenses for said Fiscal Year in the amounts of $677,310 and $190,550 respectively, be hereby approved and adopted, disbursements for which to be made only under the catagories of anticipated expenses in the identified classifications of expenditures as set forth in said Budget and for no other purposes than those for which they are appropriated unless so authorized by Act of the Commission of the Town of Gulf Stream. (2) The sums of monies set forth Under Revenue in the attached Budget, General Fund total revenue $677,310 and Water fund total revenue $209,000 be, and hereby are, approved for the purpose of providing sufficient and necessary funds for operation and maintenance of the Town during said Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 1983. (3) The net revenue of the Water Fund, for the Fiscal Year October 1, 1983 thru September 30, 1984, be hereby appropriated to the General Fund. NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, that all Real and Personal Property valuations of properties lying within the Corporate Limits of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, subject to ad- valorem taxation, as shown on the 1983 Palm Beach County Property Assessment Roll, shall be subject to a tax levy of 4.7174 mills against all taxable properties within the Town of Gulf Stream.
