HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 90-2929RESOLUTION 90 -2929 GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 89 -3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN TO REDUCE THE MAXIMUM DENSITY IN THE "HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" CATEGORY FROM 24 DWELL- ING UNITS PER ACRE TO 18 DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE. WHEREAS, a noticed public hearing was conducted on January 16, 1990, in accordance with State law; and WHEREAS, a Negative Declaration was prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a noticed public hearing on December 12, 1989, and recommended the reduction in density based upon the staff analysis and the findings of fact as enumerated in an adopted resolution; NOW AND THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby resolve: SECTION 1. Based upon the environmental assessment and recommendation from the Planning Commission, the City Council approves the Negative Declaration relative to the subject General Plan Amendment. SECTION 2. Based upon the findings enumerated in Resolution 89- 1538PC the City Council hereby adopts General Plan Amendment 89 -3 to reduce the maximum density permitted in the high residen- tial density category from 24 dwelling units per acre to 18 dwelling units per acre. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. PASS, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th -iay of January,-1990.
