AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT AND CONSERVATION
RESTRICTION AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX
WHEREAS, the County of Middlesex has agreed to donate a sum of Three Hundred and
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000) to the Borough of Carteret ("Borough") for the
purchase of portions of Block 201, Lots I and 3, as identified on the Official Tax Map of
the Borough, (also identified as Block 4: Lots 1 and 4) to be used for open space and
recreation puposes; and
WHEREAS, as a condition to the donation of such monies the parties must enter into a
formal Agreement setting forth the terms and conditions of said grant; and
WHEREAS, the Borough finds said grant to be desirable and is willing to accept said
donation pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in the attached Grant and
Conservation Restriction Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute the
attached Grant and Conservation Restriction Agreement with
County of Middlesex on behalf of the Borough.
2. That a copy of the executed Grant and Conservation Restriction
Agreement be forwarded to the County of Middlesex as requested.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 20,2005.
