CITY COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, MAY 17, 2021
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Carrie Tergin called the May 17, 2021 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at 5:45
P.M. to review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Councilmembers were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Hensley, Kemna, Lester, Schreiber, Spencer, Spicer, Vogt, and
Ward
Absent: Fitzwater and Wiseman
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilmember Fitzwater will lead the prayer.
Miscellaneous
- Kristi Campbell, Director of Cole County Health Department will be in
attendance with a few pandemic announcements.
- The Staff recognition for the ACFR and PAFR Awards will take place at the
June 7 City Council meeting.
- Gary Plummer, the new President/CEO of Jefferson City Area Chamber of
Commerce will be introduced.
Public Hearing
- City Staff presented bills 2021-008 and 2021-010.
Councilmembers Fitzwater and Wiseman arrived at the meeting at 5:48 P.M.
Consent Agenda
- Councilmember Fitzwater plans to take up item c. separately related to the
surplus of real estate.
Bills Pending
- City Staff presented their pending bills.

Announcements
- Councilmember Kemna will make a “Trails Less Traveled” announcement.
