REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MEDINA
OCTOBER 2,1961.
Meeting called to order at $ PM. All members of the council
were present.
the minutes of the regular meeting of September 5,1961 were read.
Motion by H. Arens to accept minutes as read second by A Gertz,
motion carried.
The minutes of the special meeting held on September 12,1961
were read. Motion by H Winterhalter to accept minutes as read,
second by H. Arens, motion carried.
C 0 Dorweiler representing the Hamel Fire Department appeared
with a request for a contract for fire lzprotection for the East
one half of the Village, in order to obtain the 2 percent refund
on fire premiums. Motion by H Winterhalter to enter into contract
With the Hamel Volunteer Fire Department, Incorporated as stated
in agreement as presented by C 0 Dorweiler, second by H Arens, K
motion carried.
It was reported that the present civil defense director has moved
out of the village, the Mayor will contact Wm Raymond and set up
a meeting.
Alex kxas Miller and John Dunn appeared and reported they were in
the process of selling the 1155 Club" to Marlon Langhorst, Lakeville
Minnesota.
Letter from State Highway department regarding intersection of 55
and 19 was read.
Gerald Kohnen appeared to request a permit to move a garage from
present location to home in Independence Heights, location of
garage to be on west side of his dwelling, size of garage 24 X 32
feet, located 12i feet from his property line. Motion by A. Gertz
to grant Gerald Kohnen a permit to move the garage to Indepenced
Heights, second by Herb Arens, Motion carried.
Motion by H Arens to advertized for bids for snow removal, to be
opendd at regular meeting in Novermber at $ PM. Second by Art Gertz
motion carriedx
Motion by A Gertz to have clerk contact R Begin to lower ditch
along # 9 so that bottom of ditch is below level of draingage
tile from Doran and hipi Banks homes, money will be returned upon
completion of work. Second by H Arens, motion carried.
Motion by H Winterhalter to accept Hennepin Counyy Nursing District
contract, second by H Arens, motion carried.
Motion by R Roehl to meet at $ PM on Monday October 9 for review
of budget, second by Art Gertz, motion carried.
Motion by Art Gertz to adjourn, second by H Arens, Motion carried

Meeting called to order at $:00 PM.
Members of council present, Scott, Gertz, Arens and Roehl.
Herb Perry, Village auditor 4 also present.
The clerk presented thebudget and it was reviewed item by item.
Motion by R Roehl to except budget as established at $27,625.00.
Second by Art Gertz, Motion carried.
Motion by Art Gertz to adjourn, second by H Arens,,..motion carried.

OCTOBER 31,1961
Meeting called to order at $ PM. All Council members were present.
Motion by Herbert Arens to transfer on sale liqpur license now
held by Alex P Miller and John F Dunn to Marlon Langhorst, second
by Arthur Gertz, Motion carried, all yes
Motion by Harold Winterhalter to transfer off sale liqour license
now held by Alex P Miller and John F Dunn to Marlon Langhorst,
second by Herbert Arens, motion carried, all yes.
Wm Raaymond reported on progress of the civel defense propgram,
stating that plan is almost complete. Motion by Winterhalter to adjourn,
second by Herb ARens, Motion carried.
