l a) at a meeting called by Mayor Neddermeyer to discuss discrepancy in fuel oil quotes and
repair of truck transmission.
Members present: Mayor, Wayne Neddermeyer; Couneilmembers, William Riser, Thomas Crosby,
Arthur Theis; Clerk, Donna Roehl; Public Works Director, Ron Duran.
Member absent: Nancy Laurent
Meeting called to order at 8:20 P.M.
Clerk noted that due to a misunderstanding Councilmember Laurent had not been notified
of the. meeting and attempts to locate her by telephone during the evening failed.
1. TRUCK TRANSMISSION
Ron Duran reported that an error in the quote from Town's Edge Ford had been discussed
extensively with their representative and the replacement cost would be $8485.96.
He also presented a quote from H and S Sales (Hanus Co.) for $6009.20. Repairs could be
made within 5 working days and new parts would be used.
Motion by Crosby, seconded by Reiser to award quote to H and S Sales to replace transmission
according to estimate dated 10/26/76 including a 6 month guarantee, work to include all new
parts.
Motion declared carried
2. DIESEL FUEL
Ron Duran stated that Mr. Schlosser who had suppled the low quote and received the order
at the October 17th meeting had notified him that the price had been increased to 38.15
p1us.01 per gallon delivery, less $26.00 if paid within 10 days. This quote is higher
than the amount quoted at the October 17th meeting but still lower than quote of Don Mayer
which was 40.2 delivered.
Motion by Crosby, seconded by Theis to award the quote to Mr. Schlosser for 38.15 plus
.01 for delivery, per gallon, less $26.00.
Motion declared carried
Motion by Theis, seconded by Crosby to adjourn.
