HomeMy Public PortalAbout065-2001 - 2002 Budget - Civilian SalariesORDINANCE NO. 65 - 2001 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS THE 2002 SALARY ORDINANCE WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each appointive officer, deputy and other employee of the city departments, except police officers and firefighters, prior to September 30th for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; and WHEREAS, said statute allows the City Clerk to fix the compensation of the deputies and employees of the Clerk’s office prior to September 30th for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; WHEREAS, the compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year for which it is fixed but may be reduced by the Mayor for each appointive officer deputy and other employee of the city departments set forth herein or by the City Clerk for employees of the Clerk’s office NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the following positions be compensated not in excess of the respective sums hereafter set forth during calendar year 2002, to wit: Current 2002 Compensation for these positions may range from $5.15 to $15.00 per hour. ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION In addition to the salaries set forth above, all of the employees, excluding members of the Board of Works, the Aviation Board, and the Park and Recreation Board, shall be entitled to additional compensation, such as overtime, compensation time, etc, and those same fringe benefits as set forth within the City of Richmond Personnel Policy or as stated in negotiated contracts.
