AUTHORIZING SHARED SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH THE BOARD OF HEALTH FOR OFFICE ON AGING
AND SENIOR TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ("Borough") and the Carteret Board of
Health ("BOH") are desirous of entering into a shared service agreement whereby
the BOH would assume responsibility for the administration and operation of the
Carteret Office on Aging and the Senior Transportation Division; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has determined that said shared service agreement
would result in efficiencies in the management ofthe aforementioned services and
result in a savings in limited governmental resources and the tax dollars needed to
fund said services; and
WHEREAS, the BOH has approved the proposed sharing of services contingent
on the approval of the same by the Borough.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. That responsibility for the administration and operation of
the Carteret Office on Aging and the Senior Transportation
Division are hereby transferred to the Carteret Board of
Health under the direction and supervision of Ellen
RansdelL
2. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Board of
Health and the appropriate departments.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 20, 2005.
