APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
SLAVIN & MORSE, ESQS.
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional legal services
with regard to the prosecution of Alcohol and Beverage Control violations and
appeal of a municipal matter; and
WHEREAS, The Law Finn of Slavin and Morse, Esqs., 234 Main Street,
Woodbridge, NJ 07095, possess the requisite experience and expertise to provide
said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, The Law Finn of Slavin and Morse, Esqs., has proposed to perfonn
said services at an initial cost not to exceed $6,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that The Law Finn of Slavin and Morse, Esqs., is hereby
appointed as special legal counsel in regard to prosecuting Alcohol and Beverage
Control violations and appealing a municipal matter for a initial maximum cost
not to exceed $6,500.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this appointment is made as a professional
service as defined byN.J.S.A. 40A:II-2(6).
