HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-25-2014THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SEPTEMBER 25, 2014 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, September 25, 2014, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Dick Foore and Tony Foster. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Karen Chasteen City Clerk; Police Lt. Donnie Benedict; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES of SEPTEMBER 18, 2014 Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT No claims were presented. REQUESTS STREET CLOSURES • HAPPY HEATHENS — ZOMBIE WALK (fund raising for local shelters) October 11, 2014 — 1 -6:00 pm South 12th Street — Main — South "A" Street (the walk will continue on the sidewalks to 5th Street and back to 12th Street) Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • WAYNE COUNTY DEMOCRATS Rally North 11th Street from North "E" to "D" Street September 27, 2014 - 10 am — 2 pm Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. NEW HANDICAP PARKING SIGN 134 South 15th Street Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. NOISE VARIANCE Sportsman Lounge — NW 5th and "L" Street Concert on September 25, 2014 — 9 -10:30 pm Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. BID AWARDS - None CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 114 -2014 — AMEC ENVIRONMENT & INFRASTRUCTURE Ongoing environmental monitoring — Dana Property 2153/2175 Williamsburg Pike/Tom Raper Way Not to exceed $137,576.00 (will be paid by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management — the City of Richmond is pass- through agent) Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS - None ADDENDUMS - None RESOLUTIONS - None PETITIONS - None ADJOURNMENT After a motion was duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
