C, The time to build Underpasses is now • Connects Watertown to Boston with 8 miles of safe, mixed use, uninterrupted pathway • Strong public support from diverse groups • Supports MassDOT's own mandate to triple the non- automotive mode-share of travel 2020 • 33% less expensive to build now, as part of renovation project compared to after renovations complete ($ 4 mil versus $6 mil) • Bridges will not be renovated again for at least another 5 years Can we count on your support ? • We hope the Watertown Town Council will join the growing list of Public Officials and organizations in support of Underpasses on Charles River bridges.
