Leesburg, VA (December 1, 2016) – The Leesburg Town Council invites qualified Town of
Leesburg voters to apply for temporary appointment to the Council.
On January 1, 2017, when Mayor-elect Kelly Burk takes office, her council seat will become
vacant. The term of the appointed Council Member will run from the time of appointment until
a special election is held in the spring of 2017 or on the date of the general election, November
8, 2017.
Qualified voters are asked to submit confidential letters of interest and professional resumes no
later than noon on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. All materials should be hand-delivered to
the Leesburg Town Hall at 25 West Market; mailed to Clerk of Council, Town of Leesburg, 25 W
