Town Council Plans Special Organizational Meeting for Early
January 2017
Leesburg, VA (December 1, 2016) – The Leesburg Town Council will hold a special
organizational meeting on Monday, January 9, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in
the Council Chamber on the second floor of the Leesburg Town Hall (25 West Market Street).
The Council’s regular work session will immediately follow the special organizational meeting.
At the special organizational meeting, the Town Council will discuss and may take action on the
following items:
Temporary Council Appointment
Special Election Date
Committee Assignments
Board and Commission Appointments
Council Calendar for 2017
Council Retreat and Goal Setting
Council Rules of Order
The meeting will be broadcast on the Town’s local government access cable channel (Comcast
Channel 67 and Verizon FiOS Channel 35). Viewers may livestream the meeting video via the
Town website at www.leesburgva.gov/webcasts.
