2. Consideration of proposed rezoning and 1st. reading of Ordinance 86 -2.
Mr. Caputo indicated the the Planning and Zoning Board had previously reviewed
this rezoning proposal and has recommended to the Commission that the rezoning
take place. He also stated that the State of Florida planning & zoning laws
require consistency between adopted comprehensive plans and zoning ordinances.
As such, this action being considered at today's public hearing is for the
purpose of meeting the consistency requirements of state law.
Public comments were received from written letters and members of the public
who were present at the meeting.
Following considerable discussion and a motion by Mr. Hunter and second by
Mr. Dixson, the Commission unanimously approved the rezoning on first reading
of Ordinance 86 -2.
Mayor Koch stated that the second public hearing and second reading of Ordinance
86 -2 would be held on Friday, April 11, 1986 at 9:00 A.M. at Town Hall.
3. Adjournment.
