Trash and Recycling Collections in Leesburg Canceled for
Monday, January 17
Leesburg, VA (January 14, 2022) – Due to the forecast of wintry weather beginning Sunday
afternoon and into Monday morning, all trash and recycling collections for Monday, January 17,
in the Town of Leesburg are canceled.
Patriot Disposal Services will collect trash and recycling in northwest L eesburg and northeast
Leesburg, inside the bypass, on Tuesday, January 18. Any items missed on Tuesday in northeast
Leesburg will be collected on Wednesday, January 19.
Residents in northwest Leesburg should not place trash and recycling toters at the curb on
Sunday evening, as doing so may interfere with snow removal operations.
Curbside commercial customers in the downtown area will not have trash or recycling collected
on Monday and are encouraged to not place items on the sidewalks Sunday evening.
Collections will resume the normal schedule on Tuesday, January 18.
Any updates to the collection schedule for the rest of the week, if necessary, will be posted on
the Town website (www.leesburgva.gov/trash).
