Leesburg, VA (March 28, 2022) – The Town of Leesburg will resume its seasonal sidewalk dining program on Friday, April 1, 2022. In July 2020, the Town started the sidewalk dining program to help downtown restaurants that were impacted by the indoor dining restrictions in place at the time due to the COVID pandemic. Due to its popularity, the Town brought sidewalk dining back to downtown as a seasonal program last year and is resuming the program for 2022. King Street, from Market Street to Loudoun Street, will temporarily close on Friday and Saturday evenings to expand the outdoor dining areas of participating restaurants. Sidewalk dining hours will be Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The street closure will begin 30 minutes prior. Designated on-street parking spaces will be available for delivery and pickup on East and West Market Street, adjacent to the King Street intersection. Weather permitting, the sidewalk dining program will run through October. # # #
