Leesburg, VA (April 1, 2022) – Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk is once again joining mayors across the country in the annual Wyland National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation. The national campaign, which takes place April 1 to 30, actively promotes civic participation and action around water conservation, efficiency, and the sustainability of our nation’s water-based ecosystems. Leesburg residents are being asked to make online pledges to reduce pollution, water waste, and explore ways to improve the health of their community. Participants will be eligible to win $3,000 toward their home utility payments in addition to other eco-friendly prizes. They can also nominate a deserving charity in town to win a 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Residents can find water-saving tips and make their pledges at www.mywaterpledge.com.
