RE: National Grid Grant of Location
Please be advised that the Department of Public Works and National Grid have
agreed on restoration techniques for this project. Therefore we are respectfully
requesting your approval in this matter.
To install and maintain approximately 350 feet, more or less of 16 -inch, 8 -inch
and 6 -inch gas main in Hunt Street, Watertown from the existing 24 -inch and 12 -
inch gas mains in Galen Street Easterly to the proposed Regulator Station and
from the proposed Regulator Station to the existing 3 -inch gas main in Hunt
Street. This Regulator Station will replace the existing Regulator Station at Galen
Street and Capitol Street which will be abandoned once the new station is
installed.

PETITION OF NATIONAL GRID FOR GAS MAIN LOCATIONS
Town of Watertown / Board of Selectmen: —
The Nationalgrid hereby respectfully requests your consent to the locations of mains as
hereinafter described for the transmission and distribution of gas in and under the following public
streets, lanes, highways, and places of the Town of Watertown and of the pipes, valves, governors,
manholes and other structures, fixtures and appurtenances designed or intended to protect or operate
said mains and accomplish the objects of said Company; and the digging up and opening the ground to
lay or place same:
To install and maintain approximately 350 feet, more or less of 16 inch, 8 inch, and
6 inch gas main in Hunt Street, Watertown.
From the existing 24 inch and 12 inch gas mains in Galen Street Easterly to the proposed
regulator station. From the proposed Regulator Station to the exitng 3 inch gas main in Hunt
Street. This Regulator Station will replace the existing Regulator Statiio9n'gt Galen Street and
Capital Street. Which will be abandoned once the new station is instsllc

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the locations of the mains of the Nationalgrid for the transmission and
distribution of gas in and under the public streets, lanes, highways, and places of the Town of
Watertown substantially as described in the petition dated June 29, 2010 attached hereto and hereby
made a part hereof, and of the pipes, valves, governors, manholes and other structures, fixtures and
appurtenances designed or intended to protect or operate said mains and/or accomplish the objects of
said Company, and the digging up and opening the ground to lay or place same, are hereby consented
to and approved.
The said Nationalgrid shall comply with all applicable provisions of law and ordinances of the
Town of Watertown applicable to the enjoyment of said locations and rights.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
July 15, 2010
Sir/ Madam:
A hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at a regular meeting
of the Town Council at 7:15 PM in the Richard E. Mastrangelo Chamber
(formerly the Council Chamber), 149 Main Street, Watertown, on a
petition by National Grid to install approximately 350 feet, more or less,
of 16 inch, 8 inch, and 6 inch gas main in Hunt Street, Watertown.
From the existing 24 inch and 12 inch gas mains in Galen Street
Easterly to the proposed regulator station. From the proposed regulator
station to the existing 3 inch gas main in Hunt Street. This regulator
station will replace the existing regulator station at Galen Street and
Capital Street, which will be abandoned once the new station is installed.
Your appearance is not necessary, if you choose not to object to the
above petition.
