AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
LEGAL SERVICES WTH KENNETH LEBRATO, ESQ.
WHEREAS, their exists a need for Specialized Legal Services in connection with
an investigation of citizen complaints regarding alleged Election Day incidents at
the Housing Authority Election District during the November 2000 Election; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Lebrato, Esq. possesses the requisite experience and
expertise to provide said legal services; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are available for
said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. Kenneth Lebrato Esq. is hereby retained as Special Counsel in the above
referenced matter at an hourly rate of $125.00 per hour not to exceed an initial
maximum cost of $5000.00.
2. All Municipal Officers and Employees are hereby directed to cooperate with
Kenneth LeBrato, Esq. in his investigation of the above referenced matter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this award is made as a Professional
Services Contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-5(1 )(a).
