The minutes of the meeting held on April 13, 1957 were read,
approved and adopted.
J. R. Fountain reported bank balances as follows:
General Fund
Water Fund
Reserve Fund

Payments from the General Fund during April, 1957 were on
checks numbered 60 through 94 inclusive and totatled $3,735.48.
Payments from the Water Fund were on checks numbered 106 and
107 and totatled $518.20. No checks were drawn on the Reserve
Fund. All of the above payments were unanimously approved.
Ordinance +113 was read in full for the first time. The
title of this ordinance:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF GULF
STREAM FIXING CHARGES FOR HAULING
TRASH AND RUBBISH.
Mr. Iglehart moved that Ordinance T4113 be accepted. Mr.
Koch seconded and it passed unanimously.
The Commissioners discussed the possibility of the Town
placing signs on the Intercoastal Waterway. Mr. Pope said he
would study this matter further and report at a latter Commission
Meeting.
A Resolution #46f was read which reads as follows:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Commission that it is
hereby decreed that the Town will have each and every
pile of trash or rubbish picked up each week. No
property owner or resident will be permitted to leave
a pile of trash or rubbish for a period longer than
one (1) week.

Mr. Iglehart moved that the above read Resolution §469
be adopted. Mr. Koch seconded and it passed unanimously.
Mayor Lindsay thanked Mr. Hart for attending the meeting.
He said that he would appreciate it if both he and Mr. LaPorte
would attend every Commission meeting.as he felt that the advice
of Mr. LaPorte, representing the 8ivic Association, and Mr.
Hart, who received the greatest number of votes in the last
election except for the present commissioners, would contribute
immensely toward the better functioning of the Town's affairs.
Mr, Lindsay went on to say that if these gentlemen would
not hesitate to make suggestions to the commission and take an
active part in the discussions, it would greatly facilitate
the business of the Town.
