Meeting of the Town Commission of the
Town of Gulf Stream, Florida
Held: July 139 1957
Present: Vice Mayor Commissioner Stewart Iglehart
Commissioner Wm. F. Koch
Commissioner C. H. Dodson
Deputy Town Clerk J. R. Fountain
Town Attorney H. F. Lilienthal
Mr. Bill Koch reported that he had talked with Mayor
Lindsay and J. R. Fountain and had recommended that the Town
join the County Municipal Association. He said it was a
good organization and that the dues were only :4.00 per
year for Gulf Stream.
A plat showing changes in the McLouth sub - division was
presented to the Commission for approval. After each com-
missioner present had examined the plat, Mr. Koch moved
its acceptance, Mr. Dodson seconded and it carried unanimously.
Mr. Koch moved that Mr. Iglehart sign the drawing of the plat
for the Commissioners in his capacity as Vice- Mayor. Mr.
Dodson seconded, and it carried unanimously.
Raleigh Fountain reported the sale of the last small map
of the Town. Mr. Iglehart asked Raleigh Fountain to see Mr.
Pope and find out how soon he could submit his plat to the
Commission. He also asked that Raleigh Fountain investigate
the cost of having Brockway prepare a supply of up -to -date
maps of the Town, with designations of Town, County, State
and private roads. Raleigh Fountain said he would begin on
this Monday, July 15th.
Mr. Iglehart read a letter from Lake Lyta1, Chairman of
the Traffic Survey Committee of the Board of County Commissioners,
Mr. Lytal requested that one or more representatives of the Town
of Gulf Stream attend a Committee Meeting on July 23, 1957 at
10:30 A. M. in Room 114 of the County Court House. Mr. Koch
and Mr. Dodson said that if it was at all possible they would
attend.
J. R. Fountain read the report on the Water samples delivered
to the Lantana Laboratory on July 2, 1957. All samples of the
Town's water were satisfactory.
Ordinance #113 was read in full for the second time.
The title of this ordinance:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM
FIXING CHARGES FOR HAULING TRASH AND
RUBBISH.
Mr. Koch moved the adoption of this Ordinance. Mr. Dodson
seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
