Iglehart Commissioner Henry V. Pope ti Wm. F. Koch, Jr. Deputy Town Clerk J.R.Fountain l The minutes of the commission meeting held on August 10, 1957 were read, approved and adopted. J.H.Fountain reported bank balances as of August 31, 1957 as follows: General Fund $,392.53 Mater Fund 61367.00 Reserve Depreciation Fund 6,5F'l.63 �1 Payments from the General Fudd were on checks numbered 158 through 186 and totaled 6 1,948.50. Payments from the water Fund for the month of August 1957 were on check;, numbered 118 & 119, and totaled $ 610.68. All of the above payments were unanimously approved. Police Chief Roy Cowart reported that all the pine trees on the west side of AlA with the exception of 4 on the south end have been trimmed. He said that work was progressing in a satisfactory manner. The Commissioners agreed to have the work continue. Mr. Pope asked Chief Cowart to have the men work toward the south on the East side of AlA. Mr. Pope moved that the Commissioners authorize Chief Cowart to make a street sign survey through the entire Town of Gulf Stream, that he make a list of the traffic signs needed, and that he turn the list over to J.R.Fountain and that J.R.Fountain order the signs forthwith. Mr. Koch seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Mr. .Pope explained that it would be better for the Town to wait a few months before ordering new Town maps. The reason being that he expected to have new plats r =corder in a few months and that these changes would then be incorporated on the new maps. The Commissioners agreed that this was a good idea. Mr. Pope moved that the Town of Gulf Stream purchase a copy of the City of Delray Beach ordinances. Mr. Koch seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Pope instructed J.R.Fountain to contact Helray Signs and find out whether or not the canal sign have been prepared; if not, for J.R.Fountain to order these signs from the Maclaren Sign Co. of Delray Beach.
