RE: National Grid Grant of Location
Please be advised that I have approved the following petition submitted by
National Grid for gas main locations. The standard trench repairs apply.
To install and maintain approximately 40 feet, more or less of 6 -inch gas main in
Madison Avenue, Watertown from the existing 6- inch main in Madison Avenue
at house #97 Westerly for a new gas service to to House #81 Nyack Street.

PETITION OF NATIONAL GRID FOR GAS MAIN LOCATIONS
Town of Watertown / Board of Selectmen:
The Nationalgrid hereby respectfully requests your consent to the locations of mains as
hereinafter described for the transmission and distribution of gas in and under the following public
streets, lanes, highways, and places of the Town of Watertown and of the pipes, valves, governors,
manholes and other structures, fixtures and appurtenances designed or intended to protect or operate
said mains and accomplish the objects of said Company; and the digging up and opening the ground to
lay or place same:
To install and maintain approximately 40 feet, more or less of 6 inch gas main in
Madison Avenue, Watertown.
From the existing 6 inch gas main in Madison Avneue at House #97 Westerly for a new gas
service to House #81 Nyack Street.

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the locations of the mains of the Nationalgrid for the transmission and
distribution of gas in and under the public streets, lanes, highways, and places of the Town of
Watertown substantially as described in the petition dated July 27, 2010 attached hereto and hereby
made a part hereof, and of the pipes, valves, governors, manholes and other structures, fixtures and
appurtenances designed or intended to protect or operate said mains and/or accomplish the objects of

GAS SERVICE — 81 NYACK STREET
August 13, 2010
Sir/ Madam:
A hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at a regular
meeting of the Town Council at 7:15 PM in the Richard E. Mastrangelo
Chamber (formerly the Council Chamber), 149 Main Street, Watertown,
on a petition by National Grid to install and maintain approximately 40
feet more or less of 6 -inch gas main in Madison Avenue, from the existing
6 -inch main in Madison Avenue at house #97 westerly for new gas
service to house #81 Nyack Street. Please feel free to contact National
Grid representative Dennis Regan at 617-293-0480 with any technical
questions you may have regarding this petition. You may also contact
