AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Transportation has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application for certain work at the Richmond Municipal Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Department of Transportation for a tower upgrade (installation of a new rotating beacon and for
upgrading the Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) lighting system from PAPI-2 to PAPI-4 at the Richmond Municipal Airport.
The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Forty Six Thousand Dollars ($46,000.00)
Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated for a tower upgrade (installation of a new rotating beacon) and for upgrading the Precision Approach Path Indicator
(PAPI) lighting system from PAPI-2 to PAPI-4 at the Richmond Municipal Airport.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of March, 2001, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
