AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
McMANIMON & SCOTLAND
WHEREAS, the Borough ofCarteret is in need of professional legal. services with regard
to the preparation and LFB approval of a Special Improvement District Capital Bond
Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's bond counsel, McManimon & Scotland, possess the
requisite skill and expertise for said services; and
WHEREAS, McManimon & Scotland has proposed to provide said specialized legal
services at a cost notto exceed $13,175.72; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose in Special Improvement District funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the proposal ITom McManimon & Scotland to provide
specialized legal services with regard to the preparation and LFB
approval of a Special Improvement District Capital Bond.
Ordinance at a total cost not to exceed $13,175.72 is hereby
approved.
2. That this action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract.
3. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and McManimon & Scotland.
Adopted this 30th day of June, 2005 and
certified as a true copy of the original on
