RESOLUTION NO. 90 -3001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY APPOINTING PERSONNEL AND
DEFINING- DEPARTMENTS AND MANAGEMENT PERSON-
NEL
WHEREAS, it is necessary to define departments /divisions
and programs within the organization; and
WHEREAS, the organizational restructuring will clarify
Department Head roles and responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, the new restructuring will provide for training
and increased depth and knowledge and will provide the opportu-
nity to streamline certain functions;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Clerk Department will remain the City
Clerk Department. The Department Head will be known as the City
Clerk.
Section 2. The Finance Department will be known as Finan-
cial Services Department. The Department Head will be known as
Financial Services Director /City Treasurer.
Section 3. The Support Services area will be known as
Administrative Services Department. The Department Head will be
known as Assistant to the City Manager /Administrative Services
Director.
Section 4. The Planning Department will be known as
Community Development Department. The Department Head will be
known as Community Development Director.
Section 5. The Parks & Recreation Department will be
known as Community Services. The Department Head will be known
as Community Services Director.
Section 6. The Field Services, Public Safety and Public
Works departments will be one department and known as Public
Services Department. The Department Head will be known as Public
Services Director. There will be three major divisions within
this department known as Maintenance, Public Safety and Public
Works.
Section 7. William R. Hart is hereby appointed to the
position of Public Services Director at a salary of $4204 per
month as set forth in the 1990 -91 Salary Schedule 64.0, Step 1,
effective October 25, 1990.

Section 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of October, 1990.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution, Resolution
No. 90 -3001 was adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple
City at an Adjourned meeting held on the 24th day of October,
1990 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmember - Froehle, Manning,McGowan,Wilson,Breazeal
NOES: Councilmember - None
