Koch, Jr. Mayor Alan I. Armour Vice -Mayor James E. Cross Commissioner Lawrence E. Stahl Commissioner Also present: William E. Gwynn Town Manager Barbara Gwynn Town Clerk James W. Greer Chief of Police John Buchan Police Captain Absent: James T. Skelly, Jr. Commissioner Mayor Koch announced this as a Special Meeting called in accordance with the Statutes of the State of Florida. Mrs. Gwynn stated that Notice of this meeting was sent to all residents who are property owners and was posted on the Town Hall Bulletin Board along with a copy of a newspaper Notice of Meeting. Mayor Koch requested Mr. Gwynn present the Proposed Budget for 1988 -89. Mr. Gwynn gave a short history of the preparation of this Budget noting changes in revenue and expenditures, contracts, pension funds, real estate taxes, possible legal fees and salary raises. The Commission discussed the above budget items as well as alternatives and recommendations. On motion duly made and seconded the Commission adopted an operating millage of 4.5839. On motion duly made and seconded the Commission adopted a debt service millage of 1.4679. On motion duly made and seconded the Commission adopted the Budget as presented, tentatively. The second and final Public Budget Hearing was set down for Tuesday, September 27, 1988 at 5:01 p.m., on motion duly made and seconded.
