The meeting was called to order at 5:01 o.m. by the Hon. William F. Koch, Jr., Mayor.
Present: William F. Koch, Jr. Mayor

Also present: William E. Gwynn Town Manager

Absent: James T. Skelly, Jr. Commissioner
Mayor Koch announced this as a Special Town Meeting to discuss the Budget. Announcement
of this meeting was made at the Public Budget Meetings of July 18, 1988 and
September 16, 1988 in accordance with the Statutes of the State of Florida. Notice of
this Meeting was sent to the Delray Beach News as required under the same Statutes.
The Delray Beach News did not timely publish said Notice.therefore no decisions will be
made at this meeting. The next Public Meeting on the Budget will be held on Friday,
September 30, 1988 at 5:01 p.m.
The Commission decided to hold a workshop to discuss issues of the budget.
Mr. Gwynn read into the record a letter from the Delray Beach News offering a formal
apology for the non- publication of the Notice of Public Meeting on the Budget of the
Town of Gulf Stream. Said letter is attached hereto and made a permanent part of the
Minutes of this meeting. Mr. Gwynn noted that a quarter -page ad giving the Notice of
Meeting for Friday, September 30, 1988 at 5:01 p.m. and a Summary of the Budget
appeared in the Delray Beach News of this date.
At the request of Mayor Koch, Mr. Gwynn gave his recommendations on distribution of
monies for salaries. Commission discussion ensued on said distribution and other
Budget items.
No action was taken.
The workshop was adjourned at 5:28 p.m.

Town of Gulfstream.
We have rescheduled your notices to run Tuesday, September
27, 1988, with the changes you have requested. Please do
