SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Transportation Advisory Committee has had several public meetings
to discuss the East-West Loop (Deinhard-Boydston Connector) project. There has been substantial discussion of the general design and alignment of the project.
After reviewing the public
comments and discussing the issues with ITD, the Transportation Committee has agreed that the design and priorities for the project should be as follows: 1) acquire the necessary right-of-way;
2) design and construct the bridge to accommodate vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles and snowmobiles; 3) construct the roadway; 4) construct pedestrian, bicycle and snowmobile amenities.
ITD
needs feedback from the City of McCall before the design of the roadway can proceed further.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
The Transportation Advisory Committee recommends that the City Council
adopt the priorities identified above and provide a letter to ITD reflecting the City’s priorities.
