RESOLUTION 2011 -54
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TIGER PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation published a Notice of Funding
Availability for TIGER Program funds on August 12, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee desires to make application for TIGER
Program funding with co- applicant Truckee Development Associates LLC; and
WHEREAS, if selected for funding, the Town of Truckee will enter into an
agreement with the Department of Transportation to carry out the project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL, OF THE
TOWN OF TRUCKEE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Approves the filing of an application for TIGER Program funds for the Truckee
Railyard Downtown Corridor Improvement Project; and
2. Certifies that Applicant understands the assurances and certification in the
application; and
3. Commits match of $500,000 from the Catalyst Program awarded through the
State Department of Housing and Community Development, and
4. Commits Town match of $5,000,000 from AB 1600 Traffic Fees, and
5. If applicable, certifies that the project will comply with any laws and regulations
including, but not limited to, legal requirements for building codes, health and
safety codes, disabled access laws, and, that prior to commencement of
construction, all applicable permits will have been obtained; and,
6. Authorizes the Town Manager, or designee, to execute and submit all
applications and agreements, to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all
necessary reports and payment requests which may be necessary for the
completion of the aforementioned project.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced by Council Member Green, seconded by
Council Member Brown, at a Regular Meeting of the Truckee Town Council, held on the I
20th day of October, 2011 and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members: Green, Brown, Wallace Dee, Vice Mayor deRyk
Jones, and Mayor Anderson.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
