A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD SETTING A
PUBLIC HEARING TO REVISE THE PHASING PRIORITY FROM PHASE I TO
PHASE II FOR UNDERGROUND DISTRICT NO. 11
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood Ordinance No. 848 establishes a procedure for
the creation of Underground Utility Districts; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required to ascertain whether public necessity,
health, safety, or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and facilities for
supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service ih any such district;
and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the phasing priority for such an Underground
Utility District No. 11, herein after called District, be revised (from phase I to phase II), to
encompass the area described below:
The area starting at the center line of Fernwood Ave. and State St.,
Thence West on Fernwood Ave., 1023 feet to the center line of
Beechwood Ave., thence, from the center line of State St. and
Beechwood Ave., to 383 feet south on State St. to the southerly
center lines of State St. and Fernwood Ave.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
~, Section 1: Notice is given hereby that a public hearing will be held by the City
of Lynwood on April 7, 2009 at the hour of 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of
the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California, for the District hereinabove
described.
Section 2: At such hearing, all persons interested shall be given an
opportunity to be heard. Said hearing may be continued from time to time as may be
determined by the City Council.
Section 3: The City Clerk shall notify all affected property owners as shown on
the last equalized assessment roll and utilities concerned of the time and place of such
hearing by mailing a copy of this resolution to such property owners and utilities
concerned at least ten (10) days prior to the date thereof.
Section 4: The area proposed to be included in the District is shown upon that
certain map entitled "Proposed Underground Utility District No. 11"Area No. 2, which is
on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
