SUBJECT: Notice of Preparation of the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the
Canyon Springs Subdivision
Dear Denyelle:
Thank you for sending us the Notice of Preparation for the Canyon Springs Subdivision. As the
Transportation Planning Agency for Nevada County, the Nevada County Transportation
Commission (NCTC) will be interested in reviewing the Draft EIR to determine the
transportation related impacts associated with the proposed project to the regional transportation
network. I do not believe it will be necessary for a member of our staff to attend either of the
scoping meetings.
NCTC staff also serves as staff to the Truckee Tahoe Airport Land Use Commission and I note
that the location of the Canyon Springs Subdivision is outside of the land use compatibility zones
for the Truckee Tahoe Airport. Therefore, no further review will be necessary by the Truckee
Tahoe Airport Land Use Commission.
