Even a minor incident makes a negative impact on Glenshire Drive. We have lived on Glenshire Drive prior to the current agricultural inspection station being built and have noticed an increase in vehicles towing boats who cut through Glenshire to in order to avoid the agricultural inspection station. The vehicles traveling to and from Burning Man also cut through Glenshire in order to avoid the agricultural inspection station. Add in the traffic from Glenshire elementary school, winter storms, road repairs and narrow lanes often with no shoulder each making an impact on one heavily traveled road. These are only a few examples of the traffic stress Glenshire Drive faces. We lived on Glenshire Drive during the Martis Fire and while we have a personal evacuation plan for our family, we cannot evacuate without traveling on some part of Glenshire Drive. Glenshire Drive simply cannot handle an emergency evacuation now, let alone with the increase in population Canyon Springs will bring. Glenshire Drive is on borrowed time and cannot safely handle an emergency evacuation in its current state nor can it handle the increase in traffic due to incidents on Interstate 80. Canyon Springs is not sustainable with the current road infrastructure. Please do not approve this development. Sincerely, Eric & Sally Greufe PO Box 10614 Truckee, CA 96162 530 -582 -0590
