Dear Ms. Nishimori and the Town of Truckee Council,
In regards to the proposed Canyon Springs development I am wholeheartedly against it. My wife and I moved to
Truckee 10 years ago in search of a friendly small town, clean air, minimal traffic, and easy access to open space. It
seems that Canyon Springs will negatively impact all of those qualities that my wife and I treasure. Let me be clear; I am
not anti‐development or anti‐growth. I support smart, conscious growth in‐line with our Town's General Plan and
known benefits of urban in‐fill versus the many harmful impacts of suburban ex‐fill ‐ which the Canyon Springs project
seems to embody.
The numerous contradictions in the Canyon Springs EIR to the Town's General Plan (and to good old common sense)
cause me to write this letter to urge to the Town Council to vote NO.
