I write with regret to urge the Council to carefully consider all aspects of the marina expansion plan. On
balance, I believe it should not be approved.
The Council and Tahoe Donner Board should be guided by the following.
Donner Lake is a treasure that needs to be preserved for the entire community and future generations.
Any changes should enhance existing use and enjoyment of the lake not significantly change how it is used and
should affect the natural space, water and trees as little as possible.
While Tahoe Donner residents pay for their benefits and are an economic engine for the town, they have an
obligation to the larger community and that is particularly true of Donner Lake.
If you over develop, especially by cutting down old trees, you can never go back.
I would like to see the plan scaled back.
